Home at last...
Layover in Beijing Airport
Thanks so much for visiting us during our journey,

We are so thankful to the Lord for our safe trip home.  We spent a total of 28 hours getting home between airports and on airplanes.  None of us were able to sleep, so we are pretty wiped out.  We went over 32 hours with no sleep.  I was worried about Sarah Catherine transitioning to U.S. time, but she has done fine.  I am the one who cannot sleep. It's going to catch up with me in a few days. Sarah is doing great.  We arrived at Mimi's house about 10:30 p.m. to a house full of people.  She was a little overwhelmed at first, but starting grinning before long.  She loves her new family, and we are so grateful for how much they love her.  We travelled from Birmingham to Chicago, Chicago to Beijing, Beijing to Nanchang, Nanchang to Guangzhou on this trip and never lost any of our bags.  When we landed in Birmingham, our five huge bags did not land with us.  At first, I was very upset.  We got things for the girls and others in China that could never be replaced, then I calmed down and realized that we had made it home with the most important thing - a precious little life.  We had to recheck them in Customs in Chicago, so we knew they weren't far behind us.  United had them delivered to us the next day (Sunday).  We want to say how very, very thankful we are to our Heavenly Father for protecting our Maddie and Cody on Friday night.  They were in a serious car accident that could have badly hurt them both.  Maddie has stitches on her chin, and they are both bruised and sore, but they are okay.  I pray for all my children every day to be safe, and I cannot describe how my heart feels to know that the Lord has again answered my prayer. We want to thank Cathy, Tommy and Blake for all you did for Maddie.  We will never forget it.  I would like to thank the Lord for blessing me with a wonderful husband.  I don't know many men who would take a baby with a "blow out" of a diaper into the tiny, tiny bathroom of an airplane to clean and change her.  He is really something and he is appreciated more than he will ever know.  Please pray for him as he goes back to work tomorrow, we are all still very tired.  Thank you all again for following our journey.  We will be posting a home update later on.  Thanks to everyone for the sweet emails.  I will be answering them soon.

God bless you all.

Love,

Danny & Anna
