Home Update -
Sunday September 10th & Monday September 11th

Having now been home for two-and-a-half days, things are starting to return to the "new" normal. On Sunday, we felt the fatigue of jet lag...all four of us woke up at 3:00am like it was morning...then felt exhausted by the afternoon. We woke up at a more appropriate time on Monday morning, and had a bit less jet lag as well.

Ryan immediately interacted with Sean, which was a thrill to see happen so quickly! He loved his bedroom (having seen pictures of it while we were in China). He squealed when he saw my brothers small dog, chased it around the house, and repeatedly tried to pick it up. It wasn't quite the same when he saw our two medium-size Viszla dogs...but is now chasing them around the house too. He saw our turtle in the tank, and kept motioning that he wanted to pick her up also, and the same for Sean's guinea pig. His love of animals is very strong.

He is eating most foods, and at least trying everything once. He screams every time the phone rings (like he is waiting for a call from China) and now has his own toy phone that he talks on often (no long distance charges!). Ryan seems to enjoy the larger room sizes compared to his foster home small apartment and our various hotel rooms. He has taken to his grandfathers very quickly, and his grandmothers a little slower.

Overall things are going great. We couldn't ask or pray for a better trip, a better response from Ryan, or a better integration into the family at home! We feel blessed and can't help feel that the Red Thread quote we used on the website has proven to be true...we were always meant to be together!!

Thank you all for visiting our website, its been fun to update everyone on a daily basis, and share the joy we have had.
