Thanks so much for visiting us during our journey,
Kevin, Catherine, Kaio, Luca and Roshandra!
Well every day we just get more amazed at Roshandra's progress. Last night she slept from 7:40p.m.-8:15a.m.that was great! Today wasn't a rushed day which makes it great. Today we won't meet the bus until 10:00. We had our breakfast at our same usual spot and our same usual table. Breakfast is always good here but you are never without a surprise. There are many dishes out in the morning and sometimes you open the dish to a surprise!   Well today’s wasn't the usual cow's stomach, eel skin or fish heads but rather chicken feet (not sure if the nails were still on or not)!  Realizing I wasn't in fear factor I passed.

Kaio remember you were so jealous that we would be eating Chinese food, well it is good but don't think you are gonna get egg rolls, chicken balls, garlic ribs etc. I guess that they are Canadian Chinese dishes.

At 10:00 we loaded on the bus and headed out to the Tengwang temple.  Wow! What a structure. We watched a Chinese show of singing and playing of traditional instruments, Kaio you would have enjoyed it however they couldn't sing as good as my girl. After the show Mommy wanted to buy some surprises for you guys and some day Luca I need to show you the art of bartering (not really that good at it but we had lots of laughs). One funny one was when I was bartering with this lady over an item (can't say what it was) and the price started at $50 (Chinese money) we bartered back and forth till I got her finally down to $20 ($3.02 Canadian).  I said I would take it. To my surprise I was bartering for one but she was selling me two. We laughed over that and she was excited to get the sale!  We then went to a restaurant that was close buy and had a 6 coarse meal (very good) at a cost of (sit down) $3.50 Canadian. After the meal we headed back too the motel.

Catherine and Raelene (Girard and Raelene are a couple from Saskatoon in our group)  decided we needed porcelain as it is made in the province where our girls are from, let me tell you this was a hoot.(as we would say from the martimes). We grabbed a taxi and Cindy our guide wrote in Chinese where we needed to go. Remember I referred to the crazy driving well now we aren't in a bus we are in a taxi with 360,000km on it at what I would call ground zero. The ride was an experience. I tried to communicate with him to come back in 45 mins. He nodded yes and wouldn't take any money instead put on his 4 way flashers jumped out and threw up the hood and waited there on the street. The bartering then began. Every time you go into a shop there is someone right there with an adding machine, if you even so much as stopped the numbers would be flying. I think I might have insulted a couple as they would give the price and I would counter offer but on my second I would go less than the first bid and in fact they are trying to get you higher than the first. The people are so friendly and when you finally make a deal they are so excited.

We went back to the hotel and had supper and I think we will crash. Tomorrow will be a busy day again as we will be flying out around supper back to Beijing. Catherine and I are both enjoying our time however our hearts are back home with friends and family. Kaio and Luca you know we are missing you and we love you.

Thanks to all back home and everywhere that are praying for us as things continue to go smooth.

P.S. Daycare and kindergarten friends I hope Catherine doesn't decide
