This has been a very exhausting day with all the problems we have been having with our emails. We didn't realize our emails weren’t going out until we called home. I just can't imagine having these problems in China (what will I do). We spent the morning shopping (not what I call rest) and then came back to the motel to face the problems. Hopefully we are up and on the go. Tomorrow we will be leaving around noon for that 12 hr flight. I think I have enough pills available that I might just enjoy it. Haven’t had the chance to meet anyone yet but we will all gather for breakfast in the a.m. I suspect. Funny Catherine are finding ourselves comparing our Roshandra with all the other little babies we saw at the mall. Yes you guessed it right none were as cute as our little girl. Not much else to say other than we miss yes Kaio and Luca mommy just blew you kisses, I sent yes butterfly kisses. That’s all for now.

February 3 - 4, 2007
February 4 --
On our journey to get our beautiful daughter Roshandra. We left Vancouver early in the a.m. on a flight destined to China, not looking forward to the long 12 hr flight. We are now meeting others that are traveling with us; there was a bond that had formed over all the preparation that we had been preparing for so many months. Now came the hour to finally load the plane. The pilot has just informed us that we will be taking a new route, one that will take us through Russian air space, and that we had to get going as there is a small window opening to go through that Russian space. This would be a long flight and the seats seemed just as close as all the other planes we traveled on however no trip before was going to take us close to what we will experience in the next few days. Well the little pills that I thought might allow us to sleep part of the way DIDN'T WORK. Well we may have slept 4 minutes 12 seconds, even on my sleepless schedule I need more than that. Catherine might have slept 20 min.(she still isn't grumpy daycare friends). We could see the ice and snow as we flew over Alaska.
Russia looked like such a different country from the air there would be nothing and what looked like a small village. Flying over China was also different too we saw the great wall and you would also see in the valley of a mountain about 6 or 8 houses or whatever there all alone with nothing even close to sight.
We should be thankful every day for where we live in a smog free society, that was the first thing that hit me the second a taxi (well not quite) they drive so crazy and always tooting there horns(I can think of some people that would drive them crazy). We got to meet Yulan today as it was Bob that brought us from Vancouver. Yulan just informed us that we will arrive at our hotel at app.5:30 we need to sort our luggage as only half can go with us on our next airplane ride to Roshandra's province, get our money changed and meet in the lobby for 6:30. Well the race was on. I’m sure if Catherine had of known what we were going to be eating there would have been no need to panic, the meal was unique, they brought to each person a little burner with a little pot on it ,in the pot was boiling water a star and a piece of carrot (looked like thin soup to me). They then proceeded to take out different plates of food. What you had to do was cook your own food in your own dish. The island girls were a little skeptical but the island boys seem to clean up on the meat. It really wasn't that bad.
Well we are off at 5:00a.m. for a western style breakfast followed by our next 2-3 hr plane ride. I better call it a day as I have only slept 3 hrs and it is now 3:20a.m. with our biggest day ahead of us yet.
Sure hope we can get our letters sent so you guys are all updated. Bye for now!

P.S. All kindergarten and daycare friends Catherine wanted me to tell you that we didn't end up flying over the north pole, and she misses you all so much.
