The day has arrived and we are heading home. It was a tough good-bye with Blake and Michelle however it was so good to see them. the airplane was scheduled to leave at 12:30 a.m. so our goal was to keep roshandra awake until we took off on the plane thus hoping she would sleep the whole way. This worked out great as she slept from Calgary to Toronto off that plane then on another plane from Toronto to Halifax and still she slept (not us though we were to excited). Roshandra finally woke up in the Halifax airport which gave Catherine time to get her out of her sleepers and into her beautiful dress.
The time had come to board the last plane of this journey, the excitement was mounting, and we knew Kaio and Luca would be there waiting for us. This flight would be only 50 minutes however that was long enough. Finally we are on our decent to the ch'town airport, we just couldn't get our things together fast enough and being in the back seats meant we would be one of the last to get off. hurry people hurray people get off the plane was going through my mind we have family waiting. then the time arrived we were going forward was I going to be able to hold the tears back when I see the kids I knew I couldn't. the time away from Kaio and Luca was so long, the whole time we were away that was our missing link, being able to share there new sister with them. I Could feel the tears welling up inside as we got closer to the airport. finally the doors slid open and much to our surprise there was a whole pile of people waiting for us cheering and clapping. I heard someone say everyone move back and give them time with there children. Well the tears that were welling up inside me were gone now as they rolled out the minute the doors opened. The hugs from Kaio and Luca couldn't have felt any better, I just didn't want to let go and Roshandra immediately put her arms out to her big brother (talk about making a big brother melt). It was so shocking to see so many people there, my parents sis and Jeffery, Catherine's parents and her grandmother and lots of friends. I was just so shocked to see so many there.
Roshandra you are home, no more planes for a while. Seeing all these people that showed up is just a small taste of the love you are about to experience on this wonderful island that we live. Kaio and Luca are so in love with Roshandra already God is good. It was great to get and feel so much love as we received upon entering the airport. This journey is over now but in saying that another one is about to start, this journey like the one we just finished shall be much the same called THE JOURNEY OF LOVE , the same book just another chapter.
