| January 30, 2008 Free day in Nanning |
Today was a free day. We were going to go to the park today with our guide from our adoption agency. We decided not to though as it was cold and rainy and Ridley has a cold and was coughing a lot last night. She is starting to become more comfortable with us now and we are getting to see her personality. She spent some time alone with Mama and has bonded with her more. She is laughing a lot and smiling a lot. She is mimicking things we do and noises we make. She has been wrinkling up her nose and making faces, it is so funny. We have a free morning and early afternoon tomorrow. We meet up with our Hand In Hand guide for a group dinner as tomorrow will be our last night in Nanning. We are looking forward to going to Guangzhou on Friday to finish up our time in China and get home to some normalcy. We can’t wait to bring Ridley home and meet family and friends. She is quite the little girl!! Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes. It sure is nice to hear from home. Keep the emails coming, we read them every morning!! Love, Erica, Steve and Ridley |
