| February 2, 2008 Medical Examination Day! |
| Today we took Ridley to get her visa photo taken and her medical examination required for all adopted children before they come to the states. We were led to a little room to get her visa photo taken. When we were finished there, we went to another building to start her medical examination. She saw an ENT doctor, was weighed and measured and had her lungs and skin checked. She has a little redness in her throat but nothing needing medication at this time. Our little girl weighs only 15 lbs. 9 oz. She is 73 cm long. She didn’t mind her examination except for the tongue depressor in her mouth. Aside form a cold/cough she has had since we got her, she is very healthy.
We are on free time until Monday and 11 am when we have to go to the US Consulate to do our US part of the adoption. We are getting closer to being able to come home. We are going to get some shopping in tomorrow. We have already bought 2 pair of “squeaky shoes” today for Ridley. They are shoes popular for adopting parents to purchase. When your child takes a step a little squeak comes from the shoes. We have some souvenirs to purchase before we dare try to come home. I hope you enjoy the pictures today!
