I can't believe it's already Saturday. We seem to have lost all concept of time or date while here!
This morning I spent a couple of hours with our guide filling out paperwork for the Consulate/Visa appointment next week. Dan and Phoebe Li hung out and walked around the hotel...and when I came back to the room they were both passed out on the bed.
Later we walked along the Pearl River. The weather has been rainy over the past two days, and it has been a bit chilly outside. No worries though, we bundled Phoebe Li in warm clothes with no skin showing...This did not go unnoticed by an elderly Chinese woman who nodded to us in approval as she walked by.
Phoebe Li has mastered the art of blowing raspberries...I'll let you guess who taught her that. She's very good at it and can do it for several minutes without interruption. Her concentration does not break despite Dan and I falling over laughing. I only captured a short version on video, as she prefers to perform it only off camera. She has an amazing amount of energy and so much fun!
Today we fed her some yogurt and later pureed chicken; she seemed to like both. Interestingly at almost 11 months old, it's obvious that she has never been fed with a spoon...you can tell it has never been tried since she does not know what to do. I think she was given only the bottle up until now, but we'll try a little more each day and she'll get the hang of it soon.
Wishing everyone a Happy Easter with love from Guangzhou!
