March 24 – Folk Art Museum/Sun-Yat Sen’s Memorial Hall
Today was another day of touring. First we went to the Guangdong Folk Arts Museum at the Chen Clan Academy. The Folk Arts Museum was really nice and had such amazing architecture – it was so impressive, we hope the picture below shows at least some of the intricate detail. Natalie enjoyed being wheeled around in her stroller throughout the museum. At Sun-Yat Sen’s Memorial Hall, we got to see the opera/ballet practicing for the evening’s performance.
It was beautiful and loud and Natalie started to cry so we had to leave.
On the way back, we picked up KFC for lunch and went to Lucy’s for dinner. We met a few new couples at Lucy’s and enjoyed talking to them.

March 25 – Xiangjiang Safari Park
This is a must see place for all Guangdong adopting families! This was so much better than Guangdong zoo from earlier this week. This zoo was really nice and reminded us of an upscale Busch Gardens – without the amusement rides. The animals were amazing – we saw pandas, lesser pandas (red fluffy raccoons), Koalas, Kangaroos, Giraffes, Elephants, White Tigers (and their show), and then did the safari ride around the zoo.
Natalie was extremely active today. She played with us and some of the other families and their kids. She is still a big eater but, won’t drink anything. We are going to try one of Deanna’s bottles with juice to see if the nipples/bottles we have are the problem.
Most of our group is meeting for dinner tonight at the Cantonese restaurant again. We will do Dim Sum tomorrow at the Snake restaurant. Unfortunately, the Dim Sum restaurant at the Victory hotel is being remodeled right now.
