We are at our half way point in the process and can come home next week. We are really tired of the hotel room and are glad we chose the suite. Today we went to the botanical gardens. It was very nice and well put together. It was a beautiful day and it was good to get out for a bit. For lunch we went to a Shanghai style restaurant. It was great and we got to try different dishes. We had chicken and it came out head and all. We had eight courses and it came out to about $12 per person. Natalie ate like a champ again, and started to cry when we stopped feeding her to take a bite ourselves. This may be the trick to dieting that we were looking for.
Natalie is doing great and we have seen tons of smiles and laughs. Our only issues are at bed and nap time. She completely melts down, cries, and then screams. She breaks her daddy’s heart. It takes a while but we get her calmed down and she sleeps through the night. All of the girls seem to be having the same issues. It seems that they are afraid that we won’t be there when they wake up. All of the girls in our group are doing well. All of the parents are helping each other out with food and sleep issues that they are encountering themselves.
Tonight we are going on the Pearl River Dinner Cruise with a few other families. Hopefully it will be as good as lunch was. Tomorrow we go to the temple to have Natalie blessed by a monk so that she is still participating in her own culture and that is very important to us.
Thanks for all of the emails – it is so nice to hear from friends and family from home – even if we aren’t able to respond to everyone!
