Hi Everybody,

Meili’s first Disney character breakfast was a hit!! Meili was definitely more comfortable looking at the characters from a distance – like across the room distance – and got a bit scared (some might say terrified) when the characters came near our table. Oh well, all the other kids reacted similarly at her age. But she was so cute!!

HK Disneyland has different hours – opens at 10 am and closes at 9 pm – so, following the character breakfast we spent the better part of the day in the park. This park does not have as many of the bigger rides and attractions found at the other Disney parks. Only large rides are the Jungle Cruise, Autorama (the go cart cars) and Space Mountain. Bridget and Megan got to ride Space Mountain 3 times (crowd size was nothing like in other Disney parks either). Meili loved Whinney the Pooh and the merry-go-round. Also had to go on Buzz Light Year again!! All-in-all a fun day – until about 4:30 when the skies opened up and the monsoon rains began and chased us back to the hotel. Not however, before hitting a few of the shops on the way down Main Street and picking up some unique “Hong Kong Disneyland” mementoes.

We’re all packed now and ready to head to the airport in the morning to fly home. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon and introducing you to Meili.

Until tomorrow;

Hi Everybody,

We were up and out early this morning.  Everyone is anxious to get home but not looking forward to the Hong Kong to Chicago flight.  We left for the airport at 9:30 and the flight left on time at 12:35 --- and arrived Chicago 14 hours later, were processed thru immigration and Meili officially became a U.S. citizen!!

The last thing any of us wanted to do was get back on a plane, but we still had 2 ˝ hours to fly to Boston.  Not so bad, it went pretty quick.

Upon arrival in Boston we were met by the rest of the family – Tim, Nicole & Matt.  A great and emotional reunion with the three of them meeting Meili for the first time.

Welcome Meili to your new family!!!!  Home at last.

While this portion of our journey has come to a joyous conclusion, our family continues its loving journey thru life with our newest precious member – Meili Grace.  So, it is only fitting that the final picture in our journal is a mirror image of our family picture on the home page, with one difference --- it includes our Meili!

Thanks to all of you who have followed our journey, signed our guestbook and sent us many supportive e-mails.
