Today we have had her for one week. It seems like she has always been with us. She is really starting to realize that she is with us. When someone new talks to her she will keep looking for me or Ron to make sure we are still there. She slept last night from 8:00 to 6:40 with only a couple of coughs last night. She was very happy this morning. She sat in her high chair for breakfast. We came back to the room for short nap. We had to be in the room from 9:30 to 11:00 because they were reviewing our paperwork and needed to get us if there were questions.
After her nap, Mary and I went and got a coffee. She liked riding in her stroller that we rented from the hotel. She went back down for nap number 2 and slept from 10:30 to 12:30. We walked to McDonald's for lunch. Then we went to the White Swan hotel to shop around there.
Barry and Suzanne we found Belinda and she said that if we wanted a picture for Big Easy and Mrs. Big Easy it would cost Big Easy some money. :) As you can see in the picture Ron got down because she said she didn't want to look so short and Mary was ready for a nap. We enjoyed her and got some things there for "best price". We shopped for about an hour and got some great things. We took a taxi back to our hotel.
Mary went down for her third nap of the day. She has been taking 2 short naps and one long one a day. Hard to say what her schedule will be when we get back.
She is so relaxed with us, but I am sad because I know that she still has a lot to deal with until we get home. We will be in another hotel Wednesday and travel all day Thursday. When we moved from the last hotel to this hotel it took her some time to readjust to us in a new surrounding.
We had dinner at the hotel. She sat great at dinner and had congee with sweet potato. Another fact about Mary, she loves to look at herself in the mirror and she is very verbal.
On the last picture you will see a woman and a boy. She is with our group. She has four grown children. She is a single mom now and adopted the little boy in front of her. He is seven and deaf. She is amazing with him and he is a very neat kid. His name is Matthew. What a great start for this child.
