Ron and I got a good nights sleep. We got around 7 hours total. We have been very blessed in this area. Some people are still not able to sleep. We left this morning at 9:00 to go church. It is only for people who are not Chinese nationals. We had to show our passports at the door. There were many services going on in different languages. Ours was good. We had praise and worship then a message on the Great Commission. Then we were off to the jade factory. The guide there told us that today was the Chinese "Valentine's Day" and this would be great opportunity for our husbands to buy us something. There is a tradition that in China a mother wears a jade bracelet and gives it to her daughter when she turns 16. Then she passes it on to her daughter and so on down the generations. They had many beautiful pieces. Lunch was at a very nice hotel. Again we were ten to a table and a lazy susan in the middle. This has been a great time of fellowship. Our last trip of the day was to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden city. These were amazing places to see. We got a great picture of the whole group that our guide took. We have several families that are here for their second adoption. They have their first adopted daughter with them and we are all enjoying these girls. Sort of seeing things to come. We are now back at the hotel. We decided not to go to the acrobat show. We have to have our luggage that is being checked tomorrow to the bellboy tonight. While I was packing tonight, I realized that my zipper was coming unattached. Sorry Trone. So I was trying to figure out what to do and I remembered that the couple from Mississippi had Duct Tape!!! Now they were prepared. She and I duct taped it together for now and when we get to our next city I will see how bad it is. Pray that the duct tape holds.
Well, tomorrow I finally get hold Mary in my arms. Let's hope she is a good traveler. Tomorrow I will have some cute pictures!!
I also wanted to thank everyone for the emails again. They are awesome. If you are signing our guest book that is great, but we are not able to get our website up so if you signed the guest book I have not gotten it. I will get it when I get home. If you want to send us a message the best way is to go to the bottom of the page where it says email us. Just realized this today.
