Travel was good. Ron and I were looking longingly at the business class seats as we made our way to the back of the plane. We ended up ok. We had four center seats to ourselves so we could spread out. We watched movies, talked to other families, read, did a little sleeping and I had a great game on the hand held Yahtzee. Oh yeah, Robert, by the way, I have your Yahtzee. The worst part was the last hour or two, as were really ready to get off. We have met some very nice people and our hotel is great. We have English speaking TV stations which is nice. Ron and I ventured out after we got here to get water at the Chinese Walmart called Carrefour. It was an interesting experience. It was very loud and smelled very interesting. We really needed our phrase book, but somehow we purchased water and made it back. Needless to say we are very tired and are hoping for some good rest.
Our guide told us on the way over to the hotel that they are practicing for the Olympics with the traffic this weekend. They are only letting cars that have license plates ending in odd numbers drive today and even numbers tomorrow to see how much it eases the traffic problem. Thought that was interesting.
Can you believe we will have Mary in two days!!!
I can't wait to bring her home so she can meet all the people who love her already.
