Guangzhou
My posts have been much shorter from Guangzhou because there's just so much to do here. It's a great city and we've really enjoyed this portion of the trip.

We've had a few dining adventures, particularly Roy. Last night we went to a restaurant that had all their live selections in tanks and cages as we walked in the door. There were snakes, turtles, all sorts of fish, sandworms, silkworms, etc. You name it.

Roy picked out his dinner from the tank. Definitely fresh. He and Sutton (our friend from Nashville) decided to take a walk on the wild side and try water beetles. I kid you not. Yes, there was a big bucket of live water beetles on the menu which they would season and deep-fry. Before Roy learned you were suppose to "shell them" he downed one, shell and all. Kinda crunchy, he reports. Not for me.

Tomorrow we go to the U.S. Consulate for the "swearing-in" ceremony. We have completed all the paperwork and this will be our last official task while in China.

Today we took the red couch photo at the White Swan. Taking your newly adopted daughter's photo on the red couch is somewhat of a tradition here.

Today, I bought the biggest suitcase I could find. In addition to Lily, we've accumulated quite a few things while here in China.

Lilyanne is doing just great. We feel very blessed and grateful.
