Eighth Day in China
NANCHANG, JIANGXI PROVINCE -- We had a very lazy day in China. It's still cold and rainy, so we stayed in all day. I have a cold and Lily has a runny nose. We went downstairs for breakfast and came back up and relaxed.

We sent our laundry out to be done yesterday. It was returned to our room today, neatly pressed and packaged...all for less than 10 U.S. Dollars. Last night Roy went to WalMart with some friends. Yes, there is a WalMart in Nanchang, China! It's five stories tall with escalators to each level. The shopping carts were designed to spin completely around and would lock into grooves on the escalator to move your cart from floor to floor.

Lily has been doing great. She's taking her bottles. She loves steamed eggs. She's a tiny little thing. Some of her 9 month clothes are too big. I am amazed that she seems to be right on track developmentally. She babbles. She smiles. She's a very happy baby.

Tomorrow we hope to go to Tonggu, which is the county were she was found and where she was in foster care. It's about three and a half hours from here in a rural, mountainous area. If the weather permits, we will travel there tomorrow so we can see first-hand where our daughter spent the first nine months of her life.

Thank you for all your kind words and prayers. We have enjoyed reading your emails each day.
