September 14, 2006 Consulate appointment and Free day!
Today was our consulate appointment. We did not have to go to the US consulate today- only Amy and Lineaker went for us. They took all of our paper work and processed it for us. We had to be in our rooms from 9:30-10:30 this morning in case there were any questions on our paperwork. We are good to go! Hallelujah! Tomorrow , we will go to the US consulate to have Klaire sworn in as a US citizen. After the swearing in ceremony, we will get her passport and visa and then we are free to come home! I can't believe the trip of a lifetime is almost over! It has really went by pretty quick for us! We have enjoyed it so much- but we are a little tired of wearing the same clothes over and over and living out of suitcases! Everything has been so well organized for us by our guides! We appreciate Amy and Lineaker so much! They have been super!!! America World has this process down to a tee! I am so thankful that we chose them as our adoption agency- this trip has been like a vacation for us!
After we were all clear, we went to McDonald's for lunch. Then we ventured out on our own with another couple, the Turners. We found some different stores and a huge mall that had several floors of stores. It was a little different, since we were the only non Asian people in the mall! We then went to a "Wal-Mart" (Carrefore) and bought a few supplies to get us home on Saturday!
It has been raining outside all day and dreary. We have played inside with Klaire. She was belly laughing with Kassidy earlier. We got it on video. Joe is going to try to post a video of it later on our other website. Klaire is such a sweetie. We fall in love with her more and more everyday! I am so thankful that God called our family to adopt this special baby girl! Just to think, that we may have missed one of the biggest blessings of our lives if we wouldn't have answered God's call!
Well, better post this - all the crew just came in for our nightly supper party!
