December 29, 2006
Hey everybody!  Thanks for continuing to follow our Second Great Adventure!

Our day started off with what was supposed to be a visit to the Civil Affairs Office to get Jaiden's completed passport and travel documents, but upon reviewing the papers I had previously said were fine, we discovered that our zip code was wrong.  That's what they get for asking me if a document is correct when I've been crying for 36 hours!  Anyway, our poor guide had to go have all the paperwork redone, and then was able to get her passport processed.  So, while she was doing all of that, we went back to the Pavilion.  We were able to see the fishing birds a lot closer...I know, that excites you all about as much as it does John, but I thought it was GREAT!

We boarded a plane from Nanchang to Guangzhou around 5:30 for a 1 hour trip, and all I have to say is this...please PRAY HARD that our next plane trip goes better than the one we had today!!

We arrived at the White Swan hotel around 7pm, and the temper tantrums began.  They are impressive...kicking, screaming, rolling on the floor(John too).  Poor kid, so much in her life is so different and I know she must be grieving the loss of her foster family.  If anyone from the international adoption world (or anyone with kids) has any advise, please lay it on us!

There is one bright side to this evening...PRAISE THE LORD both Jaiden and Erin went to sleep happy and are still sleeping.  Erin has been an absolute angel through all of the trauma today, she feels sorry for Jaiden and only wants to push her if they're standing real close to each other!

In the words of Judy Knox, "It's time to put on your big girl pants and deal with it!"
A Winning Smile
Can we get an "Amen" for this sign of wisdom
