More exploring and shopping today. We are trying to get the last of what is on our wish list. Rain was predicted for today, but it held off. The boys went swimming in the morning and in the evening.

The highlight of the day was going out to a Thai restaurant, The Banana Leaf. It is a very lively place to go and good food too. The boys got pulled out of their seats to dance with the dancers. Jaelyn didn't know what to think. She sure enjoyed the food though.

This was the last time the majority of the group was together, as 4 families had their oaths today and are heading home tomorrow. Our consulate appointment was today, but Amy and Linekar do all the paperwork part of the appointment for us. All that is left is taking our oath at the US Consulate tomorrow. It will be a rather quick experience; I remember it being very anticlimactic last time. You can't bring in cameras or video either.

Joshua and I were walking to 7-11 tonight around 10 pm when these 2 young girls (probably 4-5) walked up to us and said "hello" then "Nihao" and gave us a thumbs up. I said hello back but told Joshua to keep on walking. They then grabbed at my hands and started kissing them. One noticed my wedding ring, so I quickly placed my hands in my pocket. I kept saying "goodbye" and "go to your Mama," but they just kept saying "hello." It really was quite heartbreaking that they were being taught to be this way. They finally gave up and went back to their mother. Poor Joshua was heavy hearted too, but after almost 2 weeks in China, he understood what was going on. I know moments like this will be with me forever.

On the bright side, just 2 more wakeups Kaia! We miss you sooooo much!
