We have waited a long time to bring our Hannah home and today is the big day! We boarded the bus headed for the airport. Of all days we seem to have gotten a rather slow bus driver and a bus which sounded like it would break down any moment.. After checking all the baggage and going through customs we headed to our gate. Guangzhou has a rather large airport and while walking to our gate the announcement came for last call for our flight. William started walking really fast and we knew we needed to pickup the pace.. No way were we missing that flight home. Whew, we made it! We spent the next 24 hours on connecting flights and in airports claiming our luggage, going through customs, rechecking our luggage and security clearances (Hannah's Cheerios were xrayed three different times. I'm sure General Mills will be glad to know they were not a security threat). Hannah did really well on the flights. She only fussed a few times. We were so excited to finally land in the USA. Hannah's passport was stamped and as of 5:10 p.m. she was officially a US citizen. We celebrated at the airport with some good old American McDonalds food! When we landed at our final destination family and friends were there to meet us. How wonderful it was to be home! Hannah is already such a blessing to us and we thank the Lord for this precious gift we have been entrusted with.
