We noticed that Hannah had some hives on her yesterday in an area where her skin was exposed to my shirt. We thought she might be allergic to the laundry detergent I used. However, last night she was really restless while sleeping and I mean extremely restless. I decided to change her sleeper to a softer one and discovered she had hives all over her body. I gave her a very small dose of the hydroxyzine that I had brought with me and after a while she settled down for a few hours of sleep. We decided the hives might be from the formula we were giving her (We had been mixing = Chinese formula with = American formula to prepare her for the transition). We decided for now to just use the Chinese formula. So far no more hives.
After only a few hours sleep we boarded our bus for the Nanchang Police Station to pickup Hannah’s passport. Next, we stopped at a porcelain shop. Jiangxi is known for its fine porcelain and we all wanted to purchase porcelain souvenirs for our daughters from the province they were from. We then went back to our hotel to make sure our luggage was all packed and ready for our flight to Guangzhou. We rested for a while because we still have some stomach issues.
At 2:00 p.m. we headed for the Nanchang Airport. William managed to get our now even more overweight luggage checked in with no additional fees. I do not know how we would have ever been able to manage this trip without our guide, William. He is a wonderful young man who is like a mother hen watching over all of us and all the babies. Finally, around 3:50 p.m. we were able to board our plane for Guangzhou. My stomach was doing flip flops by this time and some turbulence during our flight didn’t help matters. Hannah was a good baby during the flight. She just sat on my lap and played with her daddy. I sure hope she is that good on the long flight home. We arrived in Guangzhou around 5:30 p.m. and headed by bus to the White Swan. It took a little longer than usual since this was rush hour on a Friday night here. After checking into our rooms we went straight to bed including Miss Hannah.
Thank you for all of your prayers and emails. Please continue to pray for our health as Tracy is experiencing some stomach and upper respiratory issues as well. We will be excited to get home and have everyone meet our Hannah.
