The day has FINALLY COME!!!!!! GRACIE MEI YAO IS HERE!!!! We went to the adoption center at 4:00 today. They put us in a room, same room that’s on China's Lost Girls, and told us to wait. I needed to hyper ventilate I was so nervous !!! I bet Elijah 20 Yuan that I would recognize her first. HE WON!!! She looks so different. She has grown so much in just a few short months!!!
They brought her in and told me to take her. WELL, IF YOU INSIST!!!!! She came to me, did not cry and just looked around like ...what in the world is going on??? Then, they said, ALL DONE, you may go. Very easy. I was expecting balloons and streamers like when you win the Publishers Clearinghouse but no such luck. They acted like, No Big Deal. It was life changing for us. She is beautiful!!! I think she looks like me..ha ha!!!
So, we came back to the hotel room and she ate crackers, marshmallows and drank formula. She did have a long crying spell tonight. But, it was around bedtime and the poor little thing has had a long day. Every day she will be better with us. By the time we come home she will think she has always been with us and be as onery as her big brother Elijah!!! I know that she will soon come to love us as much as we love her,,,,,,,,Did I mention how cute she is????
