This is the Dolton Hotel in Changsha.

KFC  “WOW so GOOOOOD!”
Dolton at night.
The gang in front of a local store, buying some things for the road ahead.
The group left at 4:30 to fly to Changsha where the babies will be on Wednesday!  The sight seeing in Beijing was wonderful, but now the real fun begins.  The flight was not smooth by any means, but finally arrived  at 11:00 and headed for the hotel, The Dolton.  It is beautiful as you will see below.  After settling in. our guide Richard took us shopping for supplies!  Baby supplies!  We each needed a case of water to mix the formula.  My daddy skills are about to receive the ultimate test.  Can I do this alone?  As long as I have Lynn, Robin, Kathy, Nancy, Kirby, and Anna Kayla to help I think I might be able to struggle through this.  But really, I can't wait!

After our shopping was done, we head out for dinner.  After seeing what was on the buffet at the hotel... bullfrog, duck lips, and chicken feet, we decided to head out for Kentucky Fried Chicken.  Even "no fried food Robin "opted for KFC, but can you blame her?  We were desperate.

After dinner the group headed back to the hotel to prepare for the big day... the day we have waited for, dreamed of, and stressed about for 2 years.  Thinking I better be prepared for what ever I was facing the next day, I set about to lay out the baby's things.  (When my husband told me this over the phone, it sounded so sweet, made my heart melt.)  I laid out her clothes, all the little outfits we had put so much thought into deciding on the right size to get.  Let's hope we guessed right or close.  Next came the food supplies, bottles, nipples, formula, and of course the diapers.  Then baby medications in case of diaper rash, congestion, fever, whatever else babies can have I'm sure my wife has something packed for it.

Next came comfort items, especially the little red blanket with the ladybug on top, a few books, and toys.

While we are dinner the hotel had put cribs and small bathtubs for the babies in the rooms for us.  So had to prepare the crib and get bath articles next to the bathtub.

Standing back, looking over my work I felt confidently ready for battle. I mean how hard can it be to take care of one little baby alone?  Who am I kidding?  Only God can get me through this. Please pray.

Something tells me I better get some sleep tonight.
