Thanks so much for visiting us during our journey,
Steve, Heather, Ed, Joe, Emily, Hana and Zeke Allen!
Trust in the LORD
with all your heart
And do not lean on
your own understanding.
In all your ways
acknowledge Him,
And he will make
your paths straight.
Proverbs 3: 5 - 6 (NASB)
~ Time Line ~
11-11-05:   We FedExed our signed and notarized adoption application to All God's Children International (AGCI) in Portland, OR

12-12-05:   AGCI called and said, after prayer and discussion, they had a special needs child that they thought might belong in our family. Would we consider a boy?  Our response:  "Sure."  They sent us the medical information and photographs of Qin Yi Guang, currently at the Xin Xiang City Social Welfare Institute, Henan Province.

12-13-05:   We Submitted Form I-600A, Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition, to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (US CIS) office.

12-15-05:   After prayer, discussion with our pediatrician, Dr. Karen Kennicott, and discussion with our family, we called Kate at AGCI and told her that Yi Guang was meant to be in our family.

12-19-05:   Our completed "Acceptance of Referral" document, and our "Letter of Intent to Adopt Special Need Child - Qin Yi Guang" was FedExed to AGCI.

12-28-05:   Our fingerprints required for the U.S. CIS were taken.

12-30-05:   After much family discussion and prayer, we felt that Qin Yi Guang's American name would be, "Ezekiel Yiguang Allen." Ezekiel means, "God will strengthen."

1-20-06:   Kate (AGCI) called to tell us that our Pre-Approval (PA) for Qin Yi Guangl had arrived from the China Center for Adoption Affairs (CCAA).  This document means that China has said that Ezekiel will be our son.

1-30-05:   Our home study has been completed.

2-13-06:   Our home study was submitted to the US CIS office.

4-3-06:   We received notification of our approved Form I-171H, Notice of Favorable Determination Concerning Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition, from the US CIS office.

4-10-06:   We State Certified all documents required for our dossier in Santa Fe.

4-11-06:   Our completed (notarized and state certified) dossier was FedExed to AGCI for authentication and translation prior to sending it on to China.

4-28-06:   Date to China (DTC):  Kate and Tiffany (AGCI) called with the news that our dossier had been authenticated, translated, copies made, and was being sent via DHL to China.  Benjamin would receive it on Monday morning (5-1-06) and would submit it to the CCAA.  Now the countdown for our Travel Authorization (TA) from China begins.

Travel Dates:  September 6 - 20, 2006
