It's hard to believe we have been home for 5 weeks. It still seems like yesterday when they handed our precious bundle of joy to us. Dallas is doing really well. She has been declared healthy by her pediatrician. She has grown an inch and gained 2 pounds. The day we got her she had 4 teeth. Now she has 8 with 4 more coming in at the same time! She is making great progress everyday. We have gotten her into Early Steps through the state. She is still not crawling or walking but it won't be long before she does. Dallas loves floating in the pool at her Grammie and PaPa's. She would rather swim than take a bath!
We decided that I would quit working for now and stay home with her. She has bonded really well with us and we haven't had any attachment issues so far. She likes to go for rides in her stroller and see all the sites. She and our Boston Terrier Noelle are best friends now. Noelle is very protective of her and is never far away from Dallas.
Adoption is the best thing we ever did. Dallas is such a blessing and joy to us and our family and friends. I could have never imagined such total love and happiness.
