Thanks so much for visiting us during our journey,

Our time in China has come to an end. We are leaving tomorrow morning at 7:00 am. We took Dallas to the US Consulate here in Guangzhou to take the oath of citizenship for her. When we land at LAX and she gets her Chinese passport stamped, she will be an official US Citizen!!! Dallas wore her American flag dress and her Grandfather John's Purple Heart to the consulate. She was so beautiful all dressed up.

We decided not to go to the zoo today because it was raining off and on all morning. This gave mommy a chance to get some packing done. Johnny and I took Dallas back to Lucy's for dinner. Dallas ate so much tonight. I think she has found her appetite finally. I finally got everything packed. It's a miracle that I got it done!

There are so many people we wish to thank for all their support and prayers during our paperchase, long wait, and finally the trip to China. We couldn't have done it without you. Thanks to our parents who are the perfect models for unconditional love. You have helped show us what it means to love and to be a parent. Thanks to our brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. You always seemed to know what to say to keep us going during this long journey. Thanks to our friends and co-workers. Your support means more than you could ever know. Thanks to all those who helped us by contributing to the paperchase efforts, Wanda, Sue, Sherri, Dr. Booher, Elaine and our social worker Juliet. Thank you to our agency CCAI. You were always there when we needed you and you took great care of us in China. Two people we really need to thank are her birthparents. May you find peace in your hearts for the decision you had to make. You gave us the greatest gift, our daughter Dallas. Thank you Lord for this beautiful blessing you gave us. You have truly blessed our lives.

We will arrive in Lafayette Sunday afternoon. I will not be able to update until then. I appreciate all the emails you have sent. I will answer them all when we get home and settle in. Thank you so much for your love and support. God Bless you all.
