Our group went to the People's Park in Nanchang today. It is so beautiful there. I wish we could have stayed longer. There is also an amusement park and zoo by the park. You can rent paddle boats and ride around the lake. There is a large variety of shrubbery and it is beautifully landscaped. There were several groups practicing Tai Chi. It is fascinating to watch the graceful movements. Just don't go barefoot in the grass!!! There were children everywhere in their split pants. They would just squat, do their business, and go on. Dallas decided she didn't want to ride in her stroller so daddy had to carry her everywhere.
Our group went to lunch again today. I opted to sit and watch everyone else eat. Maybe another day or two and I can eat Chinese food again. Daddy and Dallas needed their afternoon nap so I went shopping with Shannon who is in our group. We went back to the department store and did some serious shopping. I got Dallas several outfits for later on. I am planning on going back before we leave to pick up a few more things. We then headed to the grocery department. This was so fun. I picked up several bags of Skittles and M&M's in Chinese for friends. I bought some pineapple beer for Johnny to try. I heard it was really good. We laughed our way through the potato chip aisle. The Chinese have a chip for every flavor imaginable. I won't describe the meat department to you! As always we got stared at. They don't see that many Americans so we always draw stares where ever we go.
Time to go put Dallas to bed. Her lump is getting much better and is starting to go down. Daddy is turning her into a TV junkie already. They are sitting there watching a Jackie Chan movie in Chinese. Dallas likes to hear the TV set. Hearing someone speak Chinese calms her down. Thank you for the emails.
