Hong Kong is Awesome!!!
We arrived in Hong Kong at 8:00 am Friday morning.  We went to our hotel The Royal Park Hotel.  It is very nice here and is in a great shopping district.  Johnny and I decided to go find something to eat and look around.  There is a children's park here called Snoopy Land.  It is all Snoopy and Peanuts themed attractions for children of all ages.  Funny thing is they played the theme from the Pink Panther over the loudspeaker.  We came back to the hotel at 2:00 pm to take a quick nap and ended up sleeping til 6:30!  We decided to see Hong Kong after dark so we took the shuttle bus to the Tsim Sha Tsui district.  It is an area on the waterfront with lots of nice hotels and great shopping.  We took off down Hankow Road and found a Pizza Hut.  They are very different from those in the US.  I personally don't care for corn, tuna fish or anything with legs on my pizza!  We finally returned to the hotel around midnight.

Saturday morning we were up at 6:00 am ready to do some serious sightseeing and SHOPPING.  The breakfast buffet was wonderful.  I did decide to pass on the baked beans and opted for french toast instead.  Johnny inhaled everything in sight.  Our first tour was Victoria's Peak.  It is a very scary bus ride up the side of the mountain but the view is breathtaking and worth it.  Next we went to the Aberdeen Fisherman's Village.  I actually got on one of those little boats with several other members of our group.  We took a nice tour of the harbor.  Right before the ride was over the driver turned the motor off and said "Pay now".  We all did because none of us wanted to swim back.  The highlight of the tour for the ladies was the Jewelry factory.  My dear sweet husband bought me a jade bangle and matching earrings.  We also got Dallas the matching pendant.  If you come here sweet talk the husband into buying you jade.  It is much cheaper than in the US and is factory guaranteed.  We then went to Stanley Market and purchased LOTS of souvenirs.  You can find anything you want there.  Think Christmas shopping six months in advance.  We finished up our group tour with a traditional Dim Sum lunch.  The food was delicious and we all used chopsticks.

Johnny then decided to go back to the hotel and I took of with Maria and her friend Lisa.  I took them down to Hankow Road and we walked around.  We decided to get foot and back massages.  It felt so good especially after all the walking we did.  Maria was okay till the lady got up and walked on her back.  I heard the yelp in the next room.  We then went to the Peninsula Hotel and had a traditional British high tea.  It was so much fun.  We thought we were hot stuff with our pinky fingers out drinking hot tea and eating scones.  Then we went to the top of the Sheraton Hotel to have drinks and enjoy the laser/light show.  All the buildings put on a light show to music.  We got back to the hotel around 9:00 pm.

Our group leaves for Nanchang in  the morning.  Then it is BABY TIME in the afternoon.  I can't believe we made it.  Fourteen months of paperchasing and waiting for referral are about to come to an end.  We will become parents tomorrow afternoon.  God has blessed us so much and we are thankful to be chosen as parents for this beautiful baby girl.  Tomorrow is "Gotcha Day" and the best day in our lives.
