The trip home to Los Angeles went really well. Christopher was especially happy about the three meals that were offered. We had to change his diaper twice on the plane but it turned out to be relatively easy. Keeping a toddler busy for 13 hours was pretty exhausting though. So we won’t be planning any long plane rides soon though.
When we arrived in Los Angeles, we went straight to Nana Youngdahl’s house. Christopher really liked it there. He and Nana Youngdahl hit it off. She had good food for him, lots of toys and smiles. We don’t know if it was jetlag or what but he didn’t sleep very well the first night we were there. He woke up over and over again crying with a vengeance. Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep that night. We were all really tired on Friday but decided it would be good to get Christopher out. Fortunately the Chinese medicine worked on my stomach illness so I was better by Friday. So off we all went to the Los Angeles Zoo. Christopher’s favorite animals were the pink flamingo. He oohed and aaahed over them. He also got the chance to have his first taste of Mexican food which he loved. He is now an official citizen of California. By the end of our zoo trip Christopher was sleeping with his head draped over the front of the stroller. It was pretty funny.
