This morning we didn't have to rush around much, so we had a nice breakfast and hit the streets for some last minute shopping. We went to see our friend Jordan who owns a nice shop on the island and we bought some gifts and souvenirs.
This afternoon we went to the Consulate for our swearing in ceremony which makes Christa Lan an official U.S. citizen. She laughed through the entire formal process and seemed to really enjoy herself. After the ceremony we walked down the street to an IKEA...in China! Who knew?? Their prices were amazingly low...I'm pretty sure the deals were much better than in the U.S.!
We then returned to the hotel in two separate cabs...cab rides in China make Manhattan cabbies look like little old lady drivers who only come out on Sunday! Mom and I were just cracking up!
We had a nice dinner then went upstairs to pack for the long flight home tomorrow.
