Today was a fairly quiet day. We went with our group to pick up Catherine's passport. You have to wait in line and then physically show them your child so they can match her to the photo on the passport. This didn't take long at all since we only had 8 families in our travel group! It is so nice have such a small, intimate group. We have really gotten to know each other these past several days.
We had lunch together as a group at a Chinese restaurant. It is amazing. They sit us at this large round table with a huge Lazy Susan in the middle. I have GOT to get one of these even if my dining room table is rectangle! Our guide, Mary, orders for us. She is fabulous. We generally, get steamed egg for the babies, rice, veggies, pork or beef, noodles that resemble Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup but no chicken, and the most fabulous eggplant I have ever had ! Eating is always an adventure with 8 little girls under 11 months old! But we are always well taken care of, waited on and just about a spectacle wherever we go.
Upon our return to the hotel, we ventured out to the grocery store again and just for a walk. James heads to the hotel swimming pool where he has spent a great deal of time when we are at the hotel. Thank God for the Western breakfast or my big baby, AKA James, would starve. He eats the rice and veggies but that is about all. We came together in the evening to do the paperwork for the Consulate. Gotta get this right! Tomorrow we fly to Guangzhou. So tonight we spend the evening packing, packing and packing! After being here almost a week, we have all definitely settled in. We will hate to leave Nanchang as we have so many new memories from this wonderful place. But Guangzhou holds a new leg of our journey. And we are up to the challenge! See you in GZ!
