A stroll in the park and a visit to a local village!
Today we did some necessary paperwork for the adoption. And then it was off to tour again! We generally have breakfast at the hotel and boy can James AND Catherine eat! Catherine loves eggs, fried little potatoes and strawberry ice cream. Not all at the same time mind you! James is apparently going through a growth spurt for sure!
Today we went to the Teng Weng Pavilion. It was beautiful. Six stories. It has been destroyed and rebuilt 28 times since the year 638 A.D. We saw a dance show here as well. Catherine is always a hit with the locals. We get lots of thumbs up and people stroking her hair. We have not encountered the clothing police at all. And we have been prepared.
We had another group dining experience that went great. James doesn't eat too much at these so I think he makes up for it at breakfast! He has been a real trooper. We did some shopping a the local grocery store and them back to our hotel. we laid low most of the night with the exception of a meeting about our upcoming trip to the orphanage. we are going there Monday morning and then to a porcelain factory. I'm not sure we are really ready to see the orphanage but definitely feel we need to go there. It will be a learning experience for all.
The visit to the local village was eye opening for sure. We will forever appreciate all that we have at home. James was thrilled to see water buffalo and asked me to make sure I included that picture! We love and miss you all very much. Can't wait to get home and have you meet Miss Catherine Anne XiuJin!
