Today we ventured back to the civil affairs office to have our family interview. We were able to get a picture with the SWI director and officials. Catherine Anne, affectionately known as C.A. did great! The wait was fairly long but so very worth it. We had our first official family picture for our Adoption Certificate. The infamous Red Folder!
Upon leaving the Civil affairs office we went to the 3 story Walmart. Boy was THAT a shopping experience. We were able to get a new photo disc for our digital as the one we got in Jax was the wrong size! We got some more diapers and baby formula as well as diet coke! The only place to sell Diet Coke in Nanchang IS this Walmart! We went to the local McDonald's for lunch. Thank God Mary, our guide, was with us as she did all the ordering. To feed the 3 of us in cost about $6!
After this excursion, we returned to our hotel where I took James swimming and to the steam room. It has been great for his asthma to visit the steam and sauna. After a short nap the whole group went to a local Chinese restaurant and had dinner. We are so well taken care of. Mary orders for us and I swear I never see her eat or drink anything. It was then back to our hotel for baths and dinner for Catherine. She loves the water, which is great as she will be a Florida gal for sure! Hope you finally enjoy the pictures. We sure miss home but are having the experience of a lifetime here!
