Well we made it to day 2! Today was to be a day of touring for the three of us. However, late last night I got the worst migraine in creation. I ended up very ill for several hours. So when daylight came I sent Mark and James to tour the Great Wall of Chine, the Summer Palace, a Jade factory and a Cloisonné factory. They had a great time. I felt better around dinner time though had not eaten all day. The bus came back and picked me up and I joined the group for the acrobat show. It was wonderful. Mark was so tired from 11 hours of walking that he slept through many parts of it. I would jolt him awake when something really spectacular was occurring! James is really enjoying himself. He hasn't complained about the food at all which was one of my biggest concerns.
I must say that the care we are receiving from the guides with Harrah Family Services is by far the best I have had in ages! We are well taken care of and looked after. The hotel in very nice and accommodating. We need toilet tissue and they brought it up on a tray with a bell boy in white gloves!
We have only run into one squatty potty so far thank goodness! I did pretty good if I may say so! The folks in our group are great. Very nice people from different parts of the U.S. The bed at the hotel isn't too bad after all. We had heard it would be pretty hard but not yet! Maybe in Nanchang.
We are headed to Nanchang tomorrow morning. We have to be packed, checked out and ready to board the bus at 7:30am. So much for sleeping late. We are having difficulty loading pictures but think we will do them to our Kodak gallery and have our web host pull from there. So stayed tuned for picture overload soon!
We miss home! Our pets, family and all our friends. But this is certainly a trip we won't forget anytime soon. we thank God every hour of every day for getting us here safely and keeping us (mostly) healthy!
Keep following our journey. It is great to know we have people praying for us and our new daughter.
