Thanks so much for visiting us during our journey, Danny, Sally, Daniel and Carmen!
About Us
Our story began many, many years ago in Tennessee when Danny was fifteen and Sally was fourteen years old. We dated and were high school sweethearts for over 4 years before we married at the ripe ages of eighteen and nineteen in August, 1981. We have now been married for 27 wonderful years which we attribute solely to the hand of God who has seen us through, molded us with each event in our lives into the people we are today, and blessed us immensely!! As many would say, we have constantly “had our foot in the road” --- always on the go with friends, to sporting events, concerts, at church, at the lake or just hanging out with family. While we were having a fun-filled, adventurous time during the first twenty-two years of our marriage, we also were praying for our own family. Sometimes when you pray, God says “no”, sometimes He says “yes” and sometimes it’s “not yet”. Well, for us it was “not yet” because He faithfully answered our prayers in 2004 when we were blessed beyond anything we could have imagined with our son, Daniel. He is complete joy and happiness beyond words. Now, the three of us are on this journey together and loving e-v-e-r-y single minute.
We have now relocated to Kentucky and eagerly await the arrival of our daughter. We prayed for another child and immediately knew our daughter would be born in China. Her name is Carmen (after Sally’s mother) and although it has been a very long wait for her, we know that she too will be specifically picked by God for our family (and we for her), and soon our families and friends will love her as we already do. We are so excited and anxious for Carmen to be home. Daniel has talked about her for probably a year now each and every day…..just waiting for his little sister and all that he wants to teach her, show her, do with her, take away from her… oops, not really that… but he is excitedly waiting.
So we thank you all so much for being on this journey with us – for praying with us, supporting us and encouraging us. We have ‘three’ wonderful families --- Danny’s family, Sally’s family and our family of friends (you know who you are!) that we love and cannot wait for Carmen to meet.
