Sorry it has taken so long to post. The kids did great on the flight over considering how long it was!!
Yesterday we visited the Temple of Heaven which we really enjoyed along with touring the surrounding park. Eating has been kind of difficult. We were not interested in eating the bullfrog or dog dish that was on the menu last night so we tried to stick to the more
mundane Chinese food like rice with sweet and sour pork! Austin is pretty much living on rice at this point so we have a long two weeks ahead.
Today we visited the Great Wall and even though it was cloudy it is still awesome to see. Jason and Austin managed to hike a fairly long way out on the wall. Our guide was even surprised they made it as far as they did. Gramma, Emma and me played it safe at the bottom. The steps are ankle breakers at best. The opposing warriors certainly had to have passed out to get to the top.
Last but not least we seem to be quiet the attraction with Austin and Emma. Most just can't figure out why we have a Chinese child. Austin was treated like a rock star at the Great Wall with a Chinese family wanting to take pictures with him!!! Gramma is certainly getting a lot of looks with her blonde hair.
Tomorrow we visit the Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace.
