Today Cameron really started to show his personality. We went to a local department store and Cameron really started opening up with us. He still prefers Jason but he is less afraid of things and was running around playing hide and seek in the store with Austin.
His laugh is very sweet! He also is starting to talk even though we don't know what his is saying. He called Ellen our guide "Mama" in the store and Jason corrected him pointing to me. It is going to take time for him to understand we are in his life permanently. We bought the kids some toys and they have had alot of fun tonight playing with them. Cameron really gets around very well with his disabled leg. He gets alot of looks from the local people because of his disability. He certainly will have a better life in the U.S. than he would ever have staying in China. Unfortunately, the disabled are just not accepted in Chinese society. We feel so blessed to be able to adopt him!
Tomorrow Ellen is going to take us by taxi to try and find his exact abandonment spot. She knows the area but the exact spot will be a little difficult. He was left on the side of the road at 5 months old near a small restaurant that most people around the hotel have not heard of. Ellen thinks it might just be some very small noodle shop. Later in the afternoon the orphanage is allowing us in for a tour.
God Bless!
Love Jason, Donna, Austin, Emma Grace, Cameron and Gramma too!!!
