Wow, December just seemed to fly by. Our month was filled with fun activities, parties, and illness;0(
We started the month of with strep throat, stomach bugs, and various other ailments. However, all the children got over the illnesses fairly quickly and we were able to do lots of fun things.
We all went to the Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo and everyone had a blast. Bella especially loved the train ride and puppet show. Later in the month we went to Winter Fest at Kings Island. Bella was less than impressed with the Dora and Blue characters and wanted nothing to do with them. However, she loved watching the ice skaters and seeing all the lights.
Of course the highlight of the month was celebrating the birth of our Saviour. On Christmas morning Bella's eyes were as big as saucers as she opened her gifts. Among her favorites were her doll stroller and make up table. We all enjoyed getting together at NaNa's and PaPaw's house with all the cousins and aunts and uncles. We had to remind ourselves that this was Bella's first Christmas with us, as it feels like she has always been a part of our family. We simply can't imagine our life and family without her in it.
Bella is learning more and more English everyday. Currently she spends half her time talking in Chinese and the other half in English, often combining both in a single sentence. She loves getting out and about and is very friendly but slowly is becoming a bit shy.
We look forward to 2006 as a family of six.
Blessings,
The Moorhouse Family
