Today Annie took us to an authentic Chinese restaurant that is normally frequented by the locals of Xi’an. We thought the food was really good but INCREDIBLEY hot. Annie said that it comes much hotter than what we had. Bella was less than impressed and drank her peach juice.
After lunch we headed to a beautiful new park in Xi’an. It has only been opened since April and it is huge. It is full of waterfalls, statues, Chinese architecture, and vast green areas. Bella really enjoyed feeding the koi with daddy. We were quite the attraction with Bella. Many came up to us and tried out their English. Most told us Bella was beautiful. Bella would run up to all the little children. She called one little boy her big sister and he just ran away from her;0)
Bella continues to be a joy, a true blessing. She is letting daddy hold her more and more everyday. She rewards us with so many hugs, the kind where she trembles because she is squeezing us so hard, does it get any better than that?
Tomorrow is our last full day in Xi’an and then we are off to Guangzhou to do the American side of the adoption.
Katie-Beth, Madison, and Micheline we are getting very close to bringing your cousin home. She can hardly wait to meet you.
Christopher, Noah, and Melanie we are just aching to hold you in our arms. Sending big kisses across the ocean to you.
