Well today we had originally decided to start our sight seeing adventures, however it turned into a day of relaxing in our hotel and the area around. I think the last few days hit us all and we were all exhausted. Audrey took three different short naps instead of her usual one mid-day. Even Daddy took a long nap.
We ran up and down the hall of our hotel floor and went exploring around the hotel lobby. Because she hears me call "Mark" by his name she now calls him "Maaak" since that is as close as she can get. She calls me Maa since that is what they say in Thai.
We went to the Tops market across the street to buy some milk, diapers and some juice. Audrey is a real helper and had to help carry the hand basket of groceries. Then we went to a little baby supplies/toy store that's next to the hotel. The staff there made her a flower out of a balloon. We also found a wooden toy that is like a mini xylophone and drum with wooden drum sticks. We were told by the Thai Red Cross, she likes toys that make sounds and play music. We figure she'll enjoy making her own music...which she does.
By spending a relaxing day together Audrey has warmed up to Mark more and letting him tickle her and play with her without her running to me. We bought a pizza next to the toy store and it had cheese and little squares of ham on it. Audrey really like the ham and picking it off the pizza, so Mark and her shared that fun eating time together.
It has been a very special bonding day as Audrey has grown more and more comfortable with Mark. It's been a great simple family day together!
