Hi Everybody,
Sorry I am so late posting Monday's activities. As most of you know, it was me and my sister's birthday and I think I did a little too much celebrating last night, but had fun.
We took off this morning to a Buddhist temple, and that was really neat. We took off our shoes and knelt down, so the Monk could bless us. After Alicia was sprinkled with water, she looked up at me and said, Daddy, did your head get wet too? It was cute. New York City has 9 million people in it, Guangzhou has 12 million people, and I think I seen 10 million of them today. It seems as though everyone is constantly moving and either coming or going, I just couldn't imagine living here.
This evening, Mom & Buck watched the girls while Trish and I took off with about 5 other couples to go on a boat ride. It's kind of like a big ferry, and has 3 levels. They have a buffet on the boat, and is included in the price of the ride, but I think the only thing we could eat was the steamed rice. The rest of the food was questionable. When we finally returned to our room last night, the hotel had made me a birthday cake, so we had to have some of that before we went to bed.
Hope you enjoy the pictures,
Alan, Trish, Alicia, & Ashli
p.s. We leave in 2 days.......yeah! |
