Hi everyone. We had to get around early this morning to finalize the adoption. We had a couple of interviews, and signed some papers. After that, we all went to the store, I guess it's similar to a Walmart, as it has groceries and clothes, but it was 2 stories. The first story had some clothes, a lot of fans and small air conditioners, and some odds and ends, and then the second floor had the groceries. It was very crowded in there, and we received a lot of looks from people. Sometimes they would smile, and sometimes they would just stare.
I am amazed on how many people comment on Alicia. They say she is very beautiful, and they talk about her round eyes. All guys in China look for girls with round eyes, they say they are very unusual and will have good luck. Several people will pat her head, and some teenage girls insisted on getting their picture taken with her.
Ashli has done better today, and we feel she will continue to do better every day. She don't cry much, she just don't have much to say or do. She will walk beside you if you hold her hand, but if you just put her down by herself, she just stands there, waiting. Not much care, or attention has been given to her, and so she lacks a lot of motor skills that most babies have at her age, but we feel she will do better everyday. That's about it for today, someone mentioned 107F, but who knows. I say anything over 95F, is just statistics anyway.
Hope you enjoy the pictures,
Love,
Alan, Trish, Alicia, & Ashli |
