Hi everybody,
Well, we survived another day, and it wasn't too bad today. We took off this morning to the pearl shops and learned quite a bit about pearls. After the pearl shop, we went to the Tomb of the King, I think it was called, and took a tour there, that was pretty interesting. It was about 12:30 when we left there, and on our way back, we stopped at McDonalds. I just can't tell you how good McDonalds tasted. Here is something interesting, Alicia got a Chicken Nugget Happy Meal, and of course it comes with a toy. In her bag was this little figure which had a pre-moistened stamp on the bottom. She started stamping some scrap paper at the hotel, and you will never believe what the stamp was. It was North & South America, and had the word America beside it. Maybe that is the toy of the week every where, but I just thought it seemed odd. It was a mad house though, busier than any McDonalds I've ever seen, but we got it to go, so we could take it back to the hotel and eat.
All the time we've been here, it's just been 5 babies from the same orphanage, and that's been pretty nice. Today, another 10 couples arrived, and will be joining our group, so the bus rides will be a little more crowded and louder. We have a couple of free days, to do what we want, except Trish and her Mom may go with the new arrivals back to the jade shop on Sunday, but I volunteered to stick around here and baby sit. We went to Lucy's Bar & Grill for supper tonight, and it was pretty good. The people on the island are so nice here, and just love Americans coming there to spend money. We got to talking to a 20 year old girl that worked in one of the shops, and she said she works 12 hour days, and gets 3 days off................a month. WOW!
Well, enjoy the pictures, and we love you all.
