Home With Arabella! -
April 10, 2008
Thanks so much for visiting us during our journey,
Kevin, Julie, Krislynn, Kyle, Austin and Arabella!
We have been home with Arabella now for a little over a month.  It has been so awesome to watch this little girl's personality just blossom.  She has a very infectious smile and the cutest laugh. She is such a happy baby!  We love her so much and could not imagine life without her.  She just melts our hearts!

When we arrived back in Texas family and friends were at the airport to welcome Miss Arabella home!  Our son Austin made us a welcome home sign and he along with his grandparents decorated our yard with a sign and balloons.  It was great!

Arabella is adjusting very well.  She definitely knows who Mama, Dad-dee (Daddy) and Bubba are.  She has enjoyed friends and family stopping by to see her.  Since she has been home she has gotten to experience a few things for the first time.  We took her on her first trip to the zoo and she seem to really like looking at all the animals.  I think she liked the monkeys the best.  They were all playing pretty good that day. We really enjoyed getting to take her to church for the first time.  It was so great  getting to show everyone that we finally made it home with our little girl!  During that LONG wait there were many many prayers going up for us and for her. To let everyone see how God  answered every prayer was awesome.  She also got to go on her first Easter egg hunt.  Once we showed her what to do she was off!  She looked so stinkin' precious in her little Easter dress.

She had her first doctor visit.  All of her test have come back good.  We have a healthy, active 2 year old!  When they had to draw blood from her little arm that wasn't so good.  They had to stick her three times and all she and I could do was just be still and cry.  It was horrible but we got through it.

Her hair is growing and I can't wait for it to get long enough to hold the bows better!  She is not crazy about bows at all....but I just keep putting them back in when she takes them out.  I think the bows are so cute!!!!!   Maybe someday she will too!

On March 29th Arabella turned "2"!  We celebrated with a party at home and invited just family to keep it simple for her.  She had a great time!  She especially enjoyed opening all of her presents.  We went with the Hello Kitty theme this year.  Hello Kitty was on her bed that she slept in while in China.  She LOVES cake!  She wasn't too sure about blowing out her candles but she was very sure about eating birthday cake.

Just want to say thank you again to everyone for following our journey to Arabella and for all the many people who lifted us up in prayer!  We know things wouldn't have gone so smooth for us without them.  Also, thank you for all of the sweet emails, gifts, and visits.

We love all of you!!!
