Whew....We don't want to be on another airplane for a long long time! Our flight from Guangzhou to Los Angeles wasn't quite as long as it was going but no doubt it was long. Arabella did fairly well. In the beginning of the flight she had a melt down for about 1 1/2 hours. We survived that and then it was off to sleep for her and us.
We finally made it to LA. After we went through immigrations it was official....Arabella is a US Citizen!!!!! It was an emotional time for me. After all the paperwork, home studies, renewing paperwork, waiting, and waiting and waiting...it was all done!
We had already decided to spend the night in LA so we could try to get a good meal, and let us all rest a bit before making our last flight to DFW. We did get a good meal! We ordered room service and had a little bit of everything. Arabella likes chicken strips, turkey meat, and of course french fries.
We got back to DFW around 6:00 pm and went out to eat with the family! MEXICAN FOOD!!!!! Yummmmm!!!!!
I just have to tell you a little funny....When we were leaving the airport in LA I asked Kevin if he was ready to go back to China. KEVIN: What for? ME: To bring Arabella a little sister home. He looked at me like I was crazy. I was just messing with him and we really have no intention of going back.....BUT.....we can never say never because God can open up that door if that is what He wants us to do.
We are ready to see everyone!!! And we are ready to get settled in at home. Thank you all again for going on this awesome journey with us! We love you all so much.
