Wow! What an amazing day we finally have Arabella in our arms go ahead and scroll down and see just how beautiful she is.
We began the day meeting our guide to go over some paperwork and finally met the third couple in our group. Once we finished the paperwork Xi Xi our guide told us to go have some lunch and meet back in the lobby at 2:00 to pick up our bundles of joy. When we got to the consulate we had to wait downstairs for a few minutes and then were allowed upstairs.
Once we were upstairs we saw some women bring in three babies and our guide told us that they were our babies but we did not see them until they had already gone by which only made our wait seem even longer, but Xi Xi snuck into the playroom were they were and with each of our cameras took some very special pictures.
Kevin and I were the first family to be called, as we stood in anticipation when they brought out Arabella there was no doubt she was ours, from that first moment never a tear except for tears of joy from mom and dad. She was such an angel. Babies all around the room were crying very loud but it did not seem to faze Arabella, as if we were in our own little world.
Once we got back to the hotel she started playing with her stacking cups. (Big hit!) Kevin went and got her some rice and congee. She knew exactly what it was when she saw it and wanted it quick. She was sure to let me know that she wanted more rice than congee. She got a kick out of looking at herself in the mirror and then when Kevin start tickling her tummy we got to hear her laugh for the first time! It was so funny!!!
She is now asleep in her crib looking like a little princess who feels very comfortable so far with her new Mama and Baba. What an answer to prayer! Everything went so smoothly. I know it was because we had our family and friends praying for us!!!!
This little girl just makes my heart smile so big. She is so sweet and funny. We are so in love with her!!
Well I better try and get some rest so I can be ready for what tomorrow brings.
