Today we woke up to terrible rain and wind. This area is know for it's wind and sand storms. Anyway since we got rained out of going to the temple that Jane had planned for us we went to Wal-mart. Annie fell asleep so Geoff stayed with her at the hotel while us women went shopping. First of all we went to the government bank to change over some money. Boy all banks must have the same kind of people, the person helping us wasn't very friendly and there where tons of people standing around doing nothing. Jane our guide actually asked the girl if she was unhappy because she was so rude.
After that fun experience, off to Wal-mart we went. Very typical of the one in the states, however almost as cheap as the dollar store.
The most fun that I had was when I noticed that I wasn't shopping alone anymore, but had a wonderful little old lady who was dogging my every step for about half an hour. She was only a little better then the people who just stopped, pointed, stared and then burst out laughing. Pay back is hell. I should know that Karma would come back
to bite me in the butt. Anyway, no pictures sorry to disappoint,
however not that interesting. We are off to the old city tomorrow.
Bye the way did you know that this place we are in is considered the Cradle of Civilization by the Chinese world, pretty interesting, huh?
