After explaining to the government that we wanted to keep her after her first night with us we received our red book. She is officially ours! I wish everyone could see pictures of her (we took the memory card to a camera shop to put the pictures on a CD. Instead they broke the memory card and all the photos are gone. We bought a new card, took more pictures, but still have the troubles mentioned above). She is beautiful. She is a little shy when we are in the lobby or around a lot of people. When we are alone with her in our room she laughs and plays and is a ton of fun. The people from the orphanage were fantastic and really took good care of her. They were a little sad when we left with Annie.
A couple of interesting facts about China:
1) If you fart in China your wife and mother in law will not think it was you. This is quite a difference from the States. In China they will assume the smell is coming from a store, the alley, or the people staring out you.
2) Trying to order "regular" Chinese food does not work. I order beef with noodles one night and curry chicken on another night. Both dishes were strange and not very good. When other people order for me I get good food however. From now on I am going for the crazy stuff. I just finished an excellent dish called Spicy Donkey Meat.
3) Everyone stares a Sarah. I think it is because she is hot but she thinks it is due to her height. Random people take pictures of us.
