October Update “Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Your Love Makes Me Sing…”
Anna has been home two months. It is amazing how quickly she accepted us as her family and jumped right into our routine. It feels as though she has always been part of our family. She is very happy, friendly, affectionate and energetic.
This month she visited the hospital to have a significant amount of dental work. She has some beautifully repaired teeth that should be good for her until she gets her permanent teeth. She did great at the hospital. She brought her new “baby” with her and “baby” experienced every procedure right along with her. “Baby” even came back from the operating room with her own cap and a face mask.
Anna loves to dance and sing. Her first favorite to sing was the theme song to a DVD called “Mommy and Me.” She still likes that one a lot, but now also asks us to sing “Hallelujah” with her all of the time. We aren’t sure which song she picked it up from for sure, but she loves any song that has “hallelujah” in it. I have to smile and rejoice in God’s goodness to us each time she starts singing “hallelujah.” Toward the end of this month that is packed full of birthdays, she also started adding “Happy Birthday” to her repertoire of songs.
This month was a busy one for us and this entry is short because it is being written long after the month is past … more to come in the November update!
