Today was our final day in Guangzhou. We began the day late, as all 3 girls slept the latest yet. It was exactly as we predicted. The big girls have gotten totally adjusted to this time zone just in time to leave it! After breakfast we did a few last errands in town. I needed a couple more squeaky shoes! We went by Jordan's shop to tell him goodbye. He took Shawn's hand, Emily and Sarah's hands, along with mine and stood for a moment and then squeezed them. It was a neat moment with him. He is a wonderful man. We did get a picture of him which we will post tomorrow. We left the White Swan at 2:45 for the US Consulate. Once there we had to do a few clerical things and then we took the oath. Anna is officially a US citizen when her feet hit the ground in San Francisco tomorrow morning around 9AM. We left the consulate and headed straight for the train station. Our wonderful guide, Rebecca, stayed with us until the very last moment. We boarded the train with 2 other Lifeline families at 5:45pm. The train arrived in Hong Kong at 8:15. We will sleep here and get a ride to the airport in the morning for our LOOOOONG flight home. Pray for Anna and me as we begin this trip. She is a very busy girl and I doubt she is going to like the long flight. Sorry we have no pictures. We were not allowed to take any in the consulate today so other than the picture of Jordan, there wasn't much there. We will definitely post pictures tomorrow night with our arrival. Thanks for all your prayers and notes of encouragement.
